Dr. John Sullivan explores interesting analytics to establish the revenue impact of great hiring, succession planning, and other talent management functions in his article, “Talentonomics - Proving the Economic Value of Talent Management“.
Based on the best-selling book, Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything, by authors Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, Dr. Sullivan derived the concept for Talentonomics which he defines as “using economic, scientific and statistical approaches to clearly demonstrate the revenue impact of excellent talent management programs”.

Boolean Black Belt, a highly informative blog created by Glen Cathey, is a must-read for sourcing advice. Glen shares search principles and tips, as well as his methods of utilizing effective and precise Boolean search strings … and he reveals the results.
In his post, “Boolean Search Strings for a Sales Tax Manager“, Glen provides some useful strings for sourcing candidates from the hidden talent pool in Monster, Careerbuilder/Hotjobs, and Google, and LinkedIn via Google. Although the searches in this post specifically target a “Sales Tax Manager”, you can try his “hidden lessons” by substituting your own parameters.
